What Is Full-Mouth Reconstruction?
In this video, Dr. Tracie Battle explains what full-mouth reconstruction involves and when it may be recommended.
Full-mouth reconstruction is recommended for patients with severely damaged teeth, including broken or chipped teeth, bite problems, or teeth that cannot be saved. In these cases, several teeth may need to be removed.
Because you still need to eat and function, treatment is planned to restore you immediately. All remaining teeth are removed on the same day, and dental implants are placed. A custom prosthesis is made in advance, so new teeth can be attached immediately.
With full mouth reconstruction, the process is essentially old teeth out and new teeth in the same day, giving you a completely new, functional smile.
