What Is an Implant-Supported Bridge?
In this video, Dr. Tracie Battle explains how an implant-supported bridge replaces missing teeth without relying on nearby natural teeth.
An implant bridge is used when you are missing one or more teeth, but still have most of your natural teeth. Its purpose is to close the gap left by the missing teeth.
To do this, dental implants are placed in the areas of the missing teeth. A custom bridge is then attached to those implants, filling the space and restoring both appearance and function. This allows the bridge to be supported by implants rather than relying on nearby natural teeth.
