The Dental Crown Process
In this video, Dr. Essence Campbell explains what typically happens during the dental crown process from start to finish.
The crown process begins with a visit during which we numb the area to keep you comfortable. We then gently shape the tooth by removing a small amount from all sides so the crown can fit securely and seal properly.
During that same visit, you will leave with a temporary crown in place. You will wear this temporary crown for a couple of weeks while your permanent crown is being made. Once it is ready, you will return to have the final crown placed.
